Being one of my first ever posts, I figured I would do an update on this killer song off of "Recovery." Megan Fox lookin fine as ever. Add Rhiana to the mix and you have two extremely attractive women in one video. Thanks Em!

Day & Night
So today I have uploaded the short video I purchased off of iTunes because I couldnt find it in full anywhere online. It's called "Day & Night," and it aired as Pixar's short previous to "Toy Story 3." Pixar kills even with these shorts, as the last two shown before the films (Up and now Toy Story 3) have choked me up nicely.
However, in a side note, the next Pixar feature film will be "Cars 2," a sequel to what is easily my least favorite Pixar film to date. I fear that its Pixar's first attempt at a money-grab, as "Cars" shit sells like wildfire. So I may have to pass for the first time in a long time on a Pixar film in theaters. I will rush to see "Monsters Inc. 2" when it comes out.

Pursuit of Nappyness
I love when making a risky purchase pays off. I was in Newburry Comics a few weeks ago, just browsing (which is dangerous to do there), when I spotted a rap group whose name looked familiar- Nappy Roots.
I searched thru my memory to figure out where I knew this group from. Then it hit me-they were the artists behind my favorite song from Madden 2004, the one where Mike "Dog Fight" Vick was the greatest player of all-time.
I've included the song, 'Roun' The Globe," which I purchased off iTunes back in 2003 when I still did that.

(I realize the video lags too much. Here's a link to the YouTube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SRCvn1FHXM)
Feeling risky, I decided to buy their new album, "The Pursuit of Nappyness." For $8.00, I figured the potential pay-off was worth it. I must admit, I was very surprised by HOW much this purchase has paid off, as its quickly taken a spot in my car stereo and has not lost a spot to higher-profile releases, including Eminem and Big Boi. I've included the preview to their next video, which happens to be my favorite track on the album.
Just goes to show you that those who take risks are those who reep the rewards.

Seinfeld Hits the Big Screen
Seinfeld's cast is reuniting for two feature length films. The first is a dramatic thriller, perfect for the summer boxoffice. "Serenity Now" will engross you like nothing since "The Clash of the Titans."
The second feature, "George," will bring you to tears. It would make the entire cast of "The Expendables," weep. A film made for that artsy theatre you go to see those indie films that don't hit wide release.

The ESPY's
So the ESPY's are ESPN's award show dedicated to everything sports. This year the show was hosted by Seth Meyers of SNL. Just like the host, some of the features during the show were hilarious.
In a spoof of the horribly egotistic production, "The Decision," Steve Carrell plays the role of Lebron James, with Paul Rudd as the interviewer. For anyone unaware, Lebron revealed the team he would sign with during his own Primetime Special. (Yes, he thinks much to highly of himself).
This movie trailer paints Sandra Bullock in a darker light than her Academy Award winning-performance in "The Blind Side." Watch as an inspirational story becomes one QB's nightmare. And I do agree with Coach Belichick; this looks hilarious.

Paging Dr. Faggot
For those of you who agree with me that last year's best comedy was "The Hangover," than be excited for this.
"Due Date" stars Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, and is directed by the same guy who did "The Hangover." The comedic style looks very similar and I have high hopes.

Can't See Past My Shades!
This might be my favorite song from Bobby Ray's (B.o.B) debut album. Lyrically amazing and Lupe kills it. Listen for the references to Aerosmith/Run-DMC and X-Men.
I'd also like to take this as a chance to do a shout out for "Man Bro, Bro Man SunGlasses." They've got hundereds of styles to choose from. Check out their Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Amherst-NH/Man-Bro-Bro-Man-Sunglasses/119229908110199?ref=ts&__a=9&v=wall

Killer Movie, Killer Cast.
"Operation: Endgame" is a straight to DVD film that looks hilarious. Well, the cast gives me high hopes at least. I'm NEtflixing this ASAP. I'm thinking I'll report back, upset that this didn't get a wide release while Shyamalan continues to ruining the minds of children everywhere.

The Birdman's Workout
Chris "The Birdman" Anderson of the Denver Nuggets is a fan favorite, and for good reason; he immediately brings energy to the floor when he checks in. From flying around on defense for big swats or climbing up for rebounds, he's a lot of fun to watch. For your enjoyment, see what it takes for him to compete at the level he does.
Whose Next?
My friend Danny G. recommended I do a post on who I believe to be the next rapper to blow up- J Cole. He's currently my profile pic on Facebook because of our strong resemblence. This guy has skill and I think the potential to be both lyrically potent and a hit on the pop charts.

"City is Falling"
I love Rhymefest. Hot new track off of his new album, "El Che."
Loving this line: "Now I'm bumpin the Roots everyday to my Black Thoughts, on the Quest for Love."
Silly Bandz Are Tough.
For real- if you dont think Silly Bands are the shit, Fuck You.
(Disclaimer: At the time I thought this video was done by a real gangsta. Upon further review, Silly Bandz aren't that great.)

Epic Staring Contest (with Muppets!!)
OK GO- more popular for their awesome music videos than their actual music, have found a new way to entertain- impromptu staring contests with Animal. Big ups for having Zack Galifianakis serve as a witness to the Epic Battle.

Release the Kraken!
Not much to say about this. Probably the best line from one of the worst movies this year- although "Calm your storm," also from Clash of the Titans is a close second.

I'm Back
Sorry for the hiatus... tough week after that game...
Anyways, here's the new video to the hit "Airplanes," by B.o.B.
Just want to brag and point out I was up on this shit long before it became everybody's damn Facebook status and the song was overplayed by the radio... I'm just now able to listen to it again.
And Bobby Ray is a Georgia Boy so he is gettin' extra points from me

Game 7
I am SOOO excited for this game tonight.
Basically my life since Glee ended is just this series.
Here are my 3 Keys to #18 tonight:
1. Rondo needs to rebound, or better yet the guards need to prevent penetration so the bigs can rebound.
2. Sheed Ray and Paul need to stretch the defense and open lanes for Rondo to create.
3. If Scal gets time- he'll knock down a trey.
Final post for the evening before the Celtics- I leave you with this video.
Explains in simple terms why Basketball > Soccer.

Enjoy another one of my favorite movies, V for Vendetta.

From one of my favorite films of all time. If you can't tell me either which movie it is or whose saying it, I'm ashamed to know you...

Slash
Slash took a tip from Santana's musical revival- play the guitar and bring in people to do the singing for you. Enter the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, Chris Cornell, Kid Rock and Fergie. The result is a kick-ass rock album thats been in my rotation since it came out earlier this year. If you havent already, check it out. Its worth it for any rock fans out there.

Welcome to the Big Show
"I really was. I was really small. I didn't grow until sophomore year of college. I really was 70 pounds. I couldn't go on the rides at the theme parks, I was so small."
Daniel Nava was always the little guy. 70 lbs in high school? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Makes me look like Paul Bunyan, and I'm one of the slightest guys around. He came up big in his first career plate-appearance, blasting a 2nd inning Grand-Slam.
By the way, he's now 5'10" and 200 lbs at age 27.
Hip-Hop Saturday
Still feelin out the blog thing-- think this could be something I post every Friday/Saturday: A Classic Hip-Hop Song from the '90s. First choice out of the gate for me is Big Pun and his mind-blowing flow. Can anyone figure out what Pun says at the end of his first verse? It took me forever to figure that one out. Well, enjoy.

Uncle Jesse is Coming to GLEE
Haven't revealed this before on the blog but I am a gigantic Gleek. Love the music, the show, characters, dancing, etc. This came across the wire an hour ago so its FRESH news- John Stamos is coming to Glee next fall as the Dentist who battles club director Will Schuester, for the affections of guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury. I never thought I'd see that magnificient hair return to a signifcant television series again, but the angels have blessed us.
Yaowa!
From Urban Dictionary: Yaowa- "Term popularized by gifted Brooklyn lyricist Joell Ortiz, a sort of urban version of Fozzy Bear's "Wakka Wakka", meaning (according to Joe Budden) "absolutely nothing". Can be said after any humorous statement, or whenever the hell you feel like saying it."
For those who haven't heard of Joell Ortiz, I present to you the beast of the east, hailing from Brooklyn. The guy is SO nice. I have nothing but praise for the kid. He turned down both academic and basketball scholarships to stay home and care after his drug abusing mother. “My moms was getting high and I didn’t want to hear something happened to her,” he recalls, “she was my best friend.”
This is Joell's top single off his soon-to-be-released album, "Free Agent." I have no idea why this song hasn't blown up like "Best I Ever Had" did. Its so relatable.
Pure. Heart. A song means so much more to me when the artist is being real. Joell's great tribute to his Grandmother...
Last one. I could go on and on for Joell, but I wouldn't feel right ending a post on him without mentioning SLAUGHTERHOUSE, the Hip-Hop supergroup comprising of Joell, Joe Budden from Jersey, Royce da 5'9" from Detroit, and Crooked I from the West Coast. Soon to sign to Shady Records with Eminem. In my opinion, already one of the top 5 groups in the history of Hip-Hop and they've only been around a year.

A Chrooner's Tune
I seriously love this song. Its so upbeat and optimistic- reminds me of myself. Michael Bublé did something dramatic by today's standards for this album- he tossed out the computer equipment. His voice in un-tweeked in this song. He said, "I want to hear every flaw, every mistake, every great thing those guys are playing. I want to "feel it."
While researching for this post, I discovered Michael Bublé enjoys to smoke pot. No wonder he's "feelin" the music.
Bonus: His GORGEOUS fiance, modeling in Argentina. She's playing opposite him in the video. Not hard to understand why he's feelin' her too.
Game 4 is The Time to Prove Your Worth
Game 4 won the Title for the Celtics two years ago. They put together one of the greatest comebacks in NBA history... on the road in LA. Instead of tied 2-2 with a surging Lakers team, Boston went up 3-1 over an LA team they knew was not as good as them. Time for Boston to prove they're the better team tonight.

What If He Was Named "Lion Woods?"
This is the original commercial featuring an audio clip of Tiger's father Earl talking to his son. Comes across pretty strong when you understand jsut how much Earl meant to Tiger.
This is a remake of the same commercial, which I love even more. What if he was named Lion Woods? I'd imagine it would go like this:
Lastly, here's how he should've been talked to. Thanks Batman!

The Coolest Astrophysicist Ever
Neil Degrasse Tyson is a lot like KRS-one in that when he speaks, you listen. He would be your favorite teacher in high school if you had him, without a doubt. There's a reason he holds the record for most guest appearance on The Daily Show AND The Colbert Report. He hosts NOVA ScienceNow and is the director of the Hayden Planetarium in NYC. Simply put, the dude rules.
Here's an extra clip from his show, NOVA ScienceNow, on Auto-Tune:

Break It Down
I love KRS-one, aka the teacher. I doubt many of you have even heard of him, but he might be the greatest emcee of all-time. Posted this because I find it interesting how there are different nuances to even the simplest of performances. There's something about KRS's voice where he just captures you and brings you in. He makes you want to learn about what he's talking about. Hope I get to see him this summer at Rock the Bells...

Pixar's Never Failed Me...
Like Denzel Washington, I always know what I'm getting from their movies, and I'm never let down. Anyone else pumped for Toy Story 3? I've been waiting 10 years for this thing. If I have some snot-nosed kid makin noise in the theater I might flip on him... Also did anyone else ever secretly hope their toys were alive? It made playing with them even more fun.
P.S. -> I've realized videos will become a regular thing, as almost every post involves a video...
Soccer Is This Cool?
No wonder the rest of the world loves football. This commercial makes the World Cup look like an epic rivaling the likes of The Lord of the Rings! In all seriousness, I always get excited for the World Cup- its like the Olympics, but with the fans drunk and on steroids. The world sits still for this shit- and us Americans don't get it because soccer is the one sport where the American League doesn't have the best players in the world. Soccer makes us feel like Canada. Point is, I'm excited for the World Cup!

BEAT LA!
Let's see if we can get another win tonight and get one step closer to having this look on Kobe's face again.
Eminem- Love The Way You Lie
My Last post before the Celtics Game. I just love Eminem when he gets emotional because that's when he's at his best. If this track is any indication, "Recovery" will be the Eminem I missed on "Relapse." And Rhianna delivers my favorite guest feature with Eminem since Dido on "Stan" back in the day.
"It's the rage that took over
It controls you both
So they say it's best
To go your separate ways
Guess that they don't know ya
Cause today
That was yesterday
Yesterday is over
It's a different day
Sound like broken records
Playin' over
But you promised her
Next time you'll show restraint
You don't get another chance
Life is no Nintendo game
But you lied again
Now you get to watch her leave
Out the window
Guess that's why they call it window pane"
How I Learned I Wouldn't Survive A Life of Crime
This cartoon is a great lead in to my recent discovery- that I would never make it as a burglar or petty theif. A few weeks ago one of my roommates, JB, and I were offered a leather couch and large screen TV for free, on the condition that we could get them out of this guy's condo without marking the walls. Great deal right?
Well, JB and I soon discovered we weren't cut out for this job. First off, we couldn't get the Tonneau cover off of our friend's pick-up truck. We proceed to make a ton of noise trying to unlock the door to the condo and open the garage door. If any of the guy's neighbors had any concern about his home, we probably would have been mistaken for inept robbers.
We go up two, winding and narrow staircases to find the room with both the TV and leather couch. After fifteen minutes of jostling and twisting(made difficult by cushions that are neither removable or firmly attached, so they get in the way), JB and I pull the couch through the door to discover we couldn't stand the couch up to get it down the stairs. Another fifteen minutes and we figure out how to stand it up-- only to realize it cant clear the first stair, much less clear the entire, turning staircase...twice. After twenty minutes of ideas (my favorite- dropping the couch out the 3rd story window), we throw in the towel and return the couch to where we found it, after removing a ceiling light to lower the couch again.
Demoralized, we try the TV. This TV simply weighed Way too much, as we couldnt even budge it. We settle for a coffee table, table lamp and a bizarre face statue, and make our way out to the truck- which was left unlocked.
It was on that night that we discovered we were the worst burglars to ever prowl the streets of that Condo neighborhood...
He calls it like it is...
Murs is that dude. Not sure if posting Videos will be a regular thing yet- this one just felt right as an opener...
